Terms and conditions

1. About us
posterstar.com is run by Posterstar Sweden AB, company reg. no. 559275-7404, VAT no. SE559275740401, Edsviksvägen 31B, 182 33 Danderyd, Sweden. Email: support@posterstar.com.
These terms apply when you buy from posterstar.com as a consumer. Our Swedish shop at posterstar.com/se has the same terms in Swedish.
2. Your order
You design your poster on the product page. The preview is drawn the same way as the print file, so the poster is printed as the preview shows it.
When you complete the purchase in the checkout, you place an order. The contract is concluded when the purchase has gone through and we have confirmed it with an order confirmation, which is shown after the purchase and sent to the email address you gave. Please check the confirmation and contact us straight away if anything is wrong.
To shop with us you must be 18 or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Your design and content
- You are responsible for the text, spelling, place and choices in your design. A spelling mistake or a wrong place that was already in the preview is not a defect in the poster.
- You are responsible for having the right to use the text, for example a quote or song lyrics, and for the content not infringing anyone else's rights or breaking the law. We may decline or cancel an order with such content, and you then get a full refund.
- Map posters are made from open map data from OpenStreetMap, and the source is printed on the poster. Map data may contain gaps or errors; the poster shows the map as it looks in the preview.
- Colours on paper can look slightly different from colours on your screen, depending on the screen's settings. Such differences are not a defect.
4. Prices and payment
- All prices include VAT. The shipping cost is shown in the checkout before you pay.
- Shipping to EU countries outside Sweden costs €4.90, and is free when your products cost €49 or more. Shipping within Sweden costs SEK 55, and is free from SEK 499.
- You pay in Kustom's checkout, with the payment methods shown there. The terms of Kustom and of the payment method's provider, shown in the checkout, also apply to your payment.
- Discount codes apply on the conditions given with the code and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Delivery
We deliver to all countries in the European Union, including Sweden. Every poster is printed when you order it, normally within about 2 business days, and then delivered in 4-5 business days. The delivery time is also shown in the checkout. At busy times and to some countries it may take longer; if your delivery will be significantly delayed, we will let you know.
If we deliver late, you can ask us to deliver, or cancel the purchase if the delay is of essential importance to you or if we do not deliver within a reasonable extra period that you have given us.
The poster is our responsibility until you, or the person you named, have received it. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we will print a new poster or refund you.
Please check your address in the checkout. If a parcel cannot be delivered because the address you gave is wrong or incomplete, or because a parcel was not collected, we may charge what a new delivery costs us.
6. Changing or cancelling an order
Contact us at support@posterstar.com as soon as possible. We try to change or cancel the order before it goes to print, but cannot promise to once printing has started.
7. No right of withdrawal
Every poster is printed only after you order it, to your specifications: with your own text or place, or with the motif, background colour, size and frame you have chosen. Under EU consumer law (Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU) and Swedish law (chapter 2, section 11, point 3 of the Distance Contracts Act, 2005:59), there is therefore no right of withdrawal for our posters. Your right to complain about defects under section 8 always applies.
8. Complaints about defects
All our posters are covered by the consumer law right to complain about defects (in Sweden the Consumer Sales Act, 2022:260). A defect is, for example, a printing error, damage from transport, or a poster in a different size or design from the one you ordered.
- Tell us within a reasonable time after you notice the defect; within two months is always in time. You can complain about defects for three years from when you received the poster. A defect that appears within two years is presumed to have existed on delivery, unless we show otherwise.
- Email support@posterstar.com with your order number, a description and preferably a photo of the defect and of the packaging. You normally do not need to send a defective poster back.
- We will print and send a new poster free of charge, or refund you if a new poster cannot be delivered within a reasonable time. You may also be entitled to a price reduction, to cancel the purchase or to damages under consumer law.
9. Personal data
How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy policy.
10. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or obstacles caused by circumstances beyond our control that we could not reasonably have foreseen, such as war, natural disasters, strikes, decisions by authorities or major disruptions at carriers. We will let you know as soon as we can. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer law.
11. Changes to these terms
Your order is governed by the terms that applied when you placed it.
12. Disputes and applicable law
If you are not satisfied, contact us first and we will try to find a solution. You can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), Box 174, SE-101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, www.arn.se. If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) can help you free of charge.
Swedish law applies to your purchase. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection that the mandatory consumer rules of your country give you.
